Hello DR. Am 28yrs old married women. I have thyroid problem and it was found around my 15yrs. Am continuously using eletroxin tablets with gradual increase and it reaches now 100mcg. Am planning to have a first baby for past 5months. But its not succeed. And I also checked my TSH level, it is 15.41. T3 is 96 and T4 is 10.And my Question is:1). Is it affects my pregnancy. I have regular period cycle (28days once) and bleeding around 2 to 3days,2). Any need to increase my dosage.Please give suggestion. Am very much worried about this. Am waiting for your rpl.

Hi, Thanks for the query. Your TSH value is high ... indicating low thyroid hormone level (thyroid hormone is essential for conception as well as fetal growth.. specially intellectual growth....) So you need to have needful amount of hormone suppliment ...to be decided by an endocrinologist. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for the query. Eltroxin is a thyroid hormone suppliment &it is essential for pregnancy & conception... As you have high TSH ..you would need rise in the dose or change the drug according to endocrinologist's advise. Thanks.
