Bump On Top Of Foot With Itching. History Of Swelling On Foot After Dropping Weight On Foot. Possible Broken Bone?
Hi. I dropped a 10 pound weight on my foot from about four and a half feet. It swelled almost instantly and I put it up for some time with ice on it. I stayed of it completely for about 2 days and still have not seen a physician. The was 5 weeks ago. The swelling has gone down but there is a nice "bump" on the top of m foot and there is itching and when I run my fingers over the top of it I can feel it in my toes. Anyway, I know this is a strange question to ask but do you think I may have broken it and now just have to live with whatever I have?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The bump on the top of the foot is likely to be due to a soft tissue injury in the area. If there is no pain on weight bearing then a bone injury is not likely. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
