Brown Tissue Coming Out With Cramps And Light Bleeding During Pregnancy. Is It A Miscarriage?

I had a piece of grayish brown tissue more than an inch long come out accompanied by cramps that are still coming and going. When I lost the tissue I had extremely light bleeding and sharp pains in my vagina for about 5 -10 minutes after. I took 2 pregnancy tests and the lines were light. I took a digital and it said I was pregnant 2-3 weeks. I m still having cramping that varies from light to moderate and my breasts are not as soar or heavy as they were before. I have a light burning sensation in my vagina could I have had a miscarriage ?

Hello,
As per your symptoms, it appears as if you have had a miscarriage. Pregnancy tests can read positive for some time even after an abortion as the hormone levels take sometime to regress. The best way to clarify the situation is to get a trans-vaginal sonogram coupled with serial serum beta-hCG titres; there is doubling every 2-3 days if the pregnancy is viable, else, the levels fall. Evidence of a gestation sac if the pregnancy is 4-5 weeks and observation of fetal cardiac activity is evidence enough to document a healthy pregnancy. Hope this helps.
