Broken Ligaments, Numb Ankles. Diabetes? Suggestions?

i ran a few years ago and broke the ligaments in the third digets on both feet..prior to that I thought I had a neuroma but now I am age 58 and the feet feel numb to the ankle..like I have rubberbands around my ankle..worse on right foot..someone said I could have diabetes but i'm not thirsty and I feel fine..just worried

There are plenty of causes for numbness in foot.
Diabetic neuropathy may cause numbness in both feet.
Polydipsia- Increased Thirsty
Polyphagia- Increased hunger lead to increased intake of food
Polyuria- Increased urination.
These are some symptoms of Diabetic mellitus.
Numbness in foot in diabetic patient indicate involvement of peripheral nerves by diabetic disease.
Your age is at risk of diabetes, so better check fastin, postprandial bllod sugar and Hb1AC level in blood.
Consult a diabetologist with these results.

Sometimes this type of numbness may be due to Disc Prolapse in spine. So it is also better to rule out that also. CT and MRI help in diagnosis.
