Bloating In Stomach, Pain While Applying Pressure. Negative Pregnancy Tests. Suggestions?

I have bad bloating of my tummy to the point I look pregnant. My whole tummy hurts when pressed and lower abdomen. I'm passing stools and urine fine and my diet is no different. I have done a pregnancy test which tested negative. Blood tests were taken also and they came back normal. I am having a scan on Friday but wanted to get a different doctors view . Thank you.

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to increased gas formation in the stomach secondary to excess acid production.
Causes can be many such as:
1. Stress
2. Dietary factors
3. Prolonged intake of certain medications like analgesics, etc.
4. Smoking & Alcohol.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of antacids like Pantoprazole (to be taken half an hour before food) & anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation (to be taken after food).
Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods & avoid fast foods & gas producing food products like cabbage, etc.

Take care.
