Bleeding For 17 Days. Prescribed Primolut, Taken Tablets, Bleeding Stopped, Reoccurring. Should I Take Tablets Again?

Hello, I had a constant period for about 17 days and after all tests, ultra sounds were done which all came back normal I was given primolut to take to stop the bleeding. My doctor told me to take three times a day until I stop then 2 a day for one day then 1 a day for 1 day so all together I took 9 of these tablets. 2 days later I have started bleeding again. Should I start taking primolut again and finish the packet at I have 19 left? How many should I take a day?

Hi
Your bleeding will start as soon as you stop the primolut .You need to be investigated to find out the cause of the bleeding. Yes you can tale primolut again but at the same time the cause of the bleeding needs to be addressed. Primolut is a hormone and stopping it will cause bleeding again. For the time being take it like this-1 tab thrice a day for a week,1 tab twice a day for the next week,1 tab a day for the following week. MEANWHILE,get some tests done and ultrasound to find out why this is happening.
