Baby Has Nose Bleeding, Headache. What Could Be The Reason, Treatment?

Hi .. My son who is 3.8 Years old has been bleeding from his nose since last night .. He has had 3 nose bleeds in the last 24 hours . Tonight before he slept he was complaining of a headache and got up crying 3 hours later because his nose was hurting and then started bleeding .. Am really worried .. Hi,
Thank you for your query.Please do not panic. Nose bleeding is common in children of this age due to unmindful nose pricking habits. It is more common in winters.Headache associated with it might be due to nasal blockage. During acute bleeds hold some ice pack over the bridge of the nose...the bleeding should stop.Follow this up with application of some antibiotic ointment in his nostrils thrice daily.This should be accompanied by application of some nasal decongestants to keep his nostrils open.
