Arm Injury While Playing Sports, Elbow Pain On Straightening Arm. Serious Condition?
While playing soccer, one of my friends kicked the soccer ball very hard and me, being the gollie, put my hand out to stop the ball but I only put out my right hand insted of both and so the soccer ball hit my palm very hard and it did hurt momentarily but I ve been feeling pain in my elbow every time I try to completely straighten it so is there a serious problem with my elbow?
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to injury/pathology to soft tissues in the elbow joint. Investigation like X ray & MRI of the elbow joint will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice to the affected area, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals) and application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel. You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones. Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.
