Suggest Remedy For Elbow Pain After Injury

Hi. My 4 yo son fell prone onto his arm/forearm onto the floor from a chair. He experienced immediate elbow pain. I cannot locate any specific bone tenderness when I touch his arm/forarm bones. He is able to rotate , flex and extend his elbow and wrist without localising any pain - but he is guarding his elbow/ not using it. As the day has progressed he seems to be using his arm a little more. Do I need an xray? or can I wait it out? Could it just be a severe sprain or more likely to be a fracture?

Hi

Welcome to the HCM

In my opinion if there is no localised tenderness and if the pain and range of movement is improving, the injury is not significant and do not need any x ray.
For any other assistance do call back.
