Hi Dear

Welcome to the board of Health care magic.

Four types of preparation of Maxtra are available in the market.

Maxtra Drops
Maxtra P drops ( added Paracetamol)
Maxtra Syrup
Maxtra P Syrup( Paracetamol added)

Even Maxtra nasal drops are there which are not for oral consumption

My sincere advice, please use all these with the consultation of your pediatrician only.( right doses , right duration)

Please do note take so lightly they may harm the patient.

Hope your query is answered

Pediatrician Dr. E Venkata Ramana's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Maxtra contains chlorpheniramine maleate, which is an oral antihistamine drug.

It is prescribed for cold, and allergic problems.

Usually it is available in drops, syrup preparations.

Drops are usually advised in children below the age of 2 years.

Syrup is advised for children above the age of 2 years.

As infants can't take larger amount of syrup preparations, drops usually advised.

But the appropriate dose in kids depends on their weight and age.

So I advise you to use this drug with the prescription of pediatrician only.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.

Welcome to Health Care Magic
Hope you are doing good. If the literature have not mentioned indication for below 2 years , you should avoid it. in Clinical practice it is kind of different.
You should try other cold syrup available at your local pharmacy which has indication for 1 year old kid.
I hope have answered your question.
Regards
