Are There Any Home Remedies For Keratosis Pilaris ?

I m a 17-year-old female. I have keratosis pilaris on my arms, my inner thighs, and a bit on my calves and my bum. I exfoliated it every day and I put lotion on. But I don t know what else to do to reduce it s appearance. They annoy me so much that I end up picking at them, which in turn only makes it worse. Are there any home remedies? I ve heard using a dandruff shampoo like Head and Shoulders like a body wash works?

The best way to treat KP is moist the skin with either moisturing lotions , baby oil or Olive oil and Almond oil is onwe of the best options ,, In Ayurveda , we consider it a Vata Dosha. So Internal Snehan ( Oil Therapies Internally ) under qualified doctor may give good results..

Take care

hi
There is no available cure, miracle pill, or universally effective treatment for KP. It sometimes clears completely by itself without treatment.

Wash area with Glysal cleanser once a day.
Pat skin dry.
Apply Salex or AmLactin lotion in morning.
Apply tazarotene (Tazorac) or tretinoin (Retin-A) cream every other night.
Get a monthly microdermabrasion and glycolic treatment with physician.
