Are Adenoids Blocking My Nose And Throat?

I have been having trouble breathing through my nose and mouth. I went to the regular physician they gave me an inhaler with asteroid, nasonex for the nose and an antibiotic, also using the nasal irrigation and a humidifier but I am not feeling relief. Could it be my adenoids if is blocking my nose and throat?

Hi, thanks for your query.
Adenoids usually trouble kids from age 3 yrs upto 1p yrs. After that the adenoids shrink physiological ly.
In my opinion, you might be having nasal allergy.
It is treated with steroids nasal spray like nasonex.
Along with this antihistamines + leukotriene antagonist are prescribed for 3 months.
Continue your other supportive remedies.
If symptoms persists, then short course of oral steroids can be tried.
All these are prescription medicines, so I would advise you to consult with the doctor and get treated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
