Any Suggestion For Pityriasis Rosea When Having Diabetes And Chronic Kidney Disease?
HI doctor my father is suffering from pityriasis rosea from last 2 month dr has advice to take oral setriod he took but still itching not reduced my father is having diabetic and chronic kidney disease.how to stop tat itching pls suggest me any solution
dear sir I understand your concern.the conditions like ptyriasis rosea PR very rarely needs treatment.in Avery rare conditions like kids drugs like methyl prednisone and antiviral a will be given.my best suggestion for dad is just calm your mind and stay relaxed it will go on its own for sure.in dad's condition of kidney disease steroids are not advisable because they damage kidney and raise sugars...regards
Sometimes steroids can exacerbate the disease and in resistant cases one can use phototherapy with UV-B, in atypical vesicular case one can try dapsone twice daily
