Any Suggestion For Having Severe Dry Skin Problems?

Hi I had severe dry skin problm which gave snaky look in my lower leg. I have been now using Vaseline after regular 2 time bath. Also I ensure that at night when I bath I donot use any soap. This has helped me with my dryness however the snaky skin is not going away. I have been regularly scrubbing my legs with a soft brush too but the skin looks the same. I have the same snaky skin in my arms and hips too. Iam drinking lot of water as well. Please suggest a way out.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to ichthyosis. I would recommend you to continue with vaseline. Meanwhile, you can also start with ammonium lactate lotion on the affected areas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
