Any Advice About High BP Reading, Chest Discomfort And Irritation?

Hi, I am on co divan 160/12.5. 55 yrs female. My BP is spiking at work when I am talking to people or on the phone from 190/105 to 239/119 at docs. I get a feeling under my chest, irritated also and am aware it has raised. I know this is too high.when on my own resting- my readings are perfect. HR 48 on high readings 40 during night. 50 's when relaxed. GP has just changed meds to ex forge hct. Saw cardiologist 2yrs ago who said he isn't worried as average readings are 160/90 approx as bp goes to 98/60 during night. Any advice please. I am worried.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I would come up with these possibilities for this type of erratic blood pressure and heart rate (HR ),these includes.
1 Chronic heart failure , diagnosis can be confirmed by E K G and ECHO.
2 Hypertension , diagnosis can be confirmed by measuring of blood pressure on three consecutive days in sitting as well as lying and standing position.
3 Tension ( anxiety) , in such type of situation usually blood pressure raises suddenly and falls suddenly according to situation.
In my opinion consult a cardiologist and get his opinion.
At the age of 55years erratic blood pressure is concerning .You need to investigated with EKG and ECHO to isolate the case.I would recommend you to visit a cardiologist at the earliest & sort this problem.
Good luck.
