Hi,
There is nothing wrong in the prescription suggested by your doctor. Isotretinoin is considered to be a wonder drug to treat acne. It has its side effects, however if doctor's advice is followed properly it is quite safe to use. The only side effect, you might notice is dryness of skin and lips and that can be prevented by keeping your skin well moisturised. Other so called serious side effects occur only when it is continued for a prolonged period without doctor's supervision. Your doctor must have evaluated the safety and efficacy of the drug in your case. So trust your doctor, start the course and remain in proper follow up for an acne free skin. Take care.
