General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Side effects of lipid lowering agents are as ,
Joint pain,
Myopathy ( muscle pain),
vertigo,
tremor,
insomnia,
heartburn,
nausea,
pruritus,
blurred vision.
As these symptoms draw back of most potent drug.
As there are stents in heart so consult treating physician ( cardiologist ) and take his opinion.
In my opinion you should not change medicine without his consent.
Good luck.
