16 Year Old Having Painful Periods And Acne. On Norimin. Weight Gain And Bloated Stomach Due To Medication. Can She Take Genit?

HI I have a 16 year old daughter who has been on Norimin for 6 months. I originally put her on it has she has very painful periods and also bad acne . Her acne is not better and she appears to have a very bloated stomach and put on weight from taking Normini. I have been recommended Genit by a GP for clearing up acne. Would this be effective for acne and ok for her age?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Appearance of acne at this teenage stage is very common and is not necessarily due to Norimin. If the acne are causing a lot of problem then I suggest that you consult a dermatologist you may prescribe appropriate medication as I have not come across Genit for acne treatment.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter all the best.

Regards,

RKK
