HI SIR MY SON IS 13 YEARS OLD ONCE HE HAD FEVER AND THE DOCTOR SAID HE HAS TO DO CHECK UP HIS HEART AND WE DID CHECK UP IN NARAYANA HRYDAYALA IN BANGALORE HIS REPORT SAID HE IS HAVING BICUSPID BUT BY GODS GRACE SO FAR NO PROBLEM HOW HE WILL FOR FUTURE IAM VERY SCARED PLEASE SUGGEST ME SIR I CANT ACCESS FOR THE PAYMENT PLEASE

Hi, Thanks for using the HCM.
you have mentioned as bicuspid valve, weather its a aortic valve or other valve,
am assuming it as aortic valve, most of the cases are sporadic, few could be familial also..
possible complications are:
valve insufficiency,
valve stenosis,
progressive aortic root dilation
aortic anerusym
infective endocarditis
he needs regular follow up with cardiologist for early detection of complications and treatment.
need to undergo annual CT/ MRI to detect aortic dilatation, lipid profile test..
better to screen in other family members as this can be a familial also..
