Brief Answer:
It will not affect pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Taking unwanted 72 during early pregnancy can cause a mild withdrawal bleeding. It will not cause an abortion or will not disturb the pregnancy. It is not harmful for the baby. It does not affect the chances of your future conception.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Thanks a lot for your answer Dr XXXXXXX Tayal. Actually we are not planning for a baby now. She missed her period by 16 days, but multiple test results coming are doubtful! In the pregnancy test kit, one line is prominent and second line is very fade! So we cant be sure about the pregnancy! She is having a very mild bleeding from yesterday. The colour is darkish red and its very less amount. She is not sure that its a delayed period or anything else.
1. Is she pregnant for sure? How will we be confirm?
2. As we don't want to have a baby now, is there any way to abort without surgery? Something by any injection or like that? Pease tell me the name of the medicine.
3. Is an abortion by injection harmful to her ovary? Will it be a problem for her to conceiving next time?
4. If she is not pregnant, when will her periodic circle be normal again? Do you suggest any medicine for that?
5. Should we continue to have physical intercourse or stop it ?

Waiting for your detailed answers. Regards.
XXXX.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
1. The light colored line on the test kit is not likely to be due to pregnancy. The delay in periods is likely to be due to hormonal disturbance. The mild bleeding that she is having is likely to be her period. To rule out pregnancy you can get her serum beta HCG levels evaluated.
2. Even if she is pregnant abortion with the help of medicines is possible. But you need to confirm pregnancy first. You can get the proper medicines prescribed by a gynecologist as it is associated with many side effects.
3. Abortion by medicines will not cause a problem in ovary or future pregnancies.
4. She will need proper hormonal treatment under care of a gynecologist to normalize the periods.
5. It is best not to have physical relations right now and start with a regular contraceptive after she gets her normal periods.
Hope my answer is helpful.
