Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query. I understand your concern with feeling sleepy in the evenings when you are expected to be active. The major advice i would like to provide you is to maintain adequate sleep hygiene: waking up same time every day irrespective of when you start to sleep; avoiding tea/coffee/carbonated drinks after 7 PM; not using bed except when sleeping; not to spend greater than 5 min in bed if unable to sleep and maintain a dark, comfortable environment prior to sleep. This would set right your biological clock/sleep rhythm. Also it is possible that you are not spacing your daily work appropriately. For certain group of people, a short nap of around 30 min in post-noon can help in avoiding the problem you stated. You can also screen yourself for anemia and hypothyroidism by haemoglobin and thyroid function tests as they may manifest with he symptom you report of early in illness. Hope you find my suggestions useful. Do clarify anything else you may want to.
