Our diet should be balanced.

A balanced diet contains Proteins, Carbohydrates, Fats, Dietary Fiber, Vitamins and minerals in proper proportion. Our water intake should be sufficient.

Protein molecules are composed of amino acids. About ten amino acids are essential. Our body can't produce essential amino acids internally. Thus our diet should contain all essential amino acids in our diet.

Neither cereals nor pulses contains all amino acids in it. Some essential amino acids are present in cereals, while other are present in pulses. Thus cereals as well as pulses, both are required in our diet.

You can contact a dietitian to plan your diet as per your daily requirement.
