What Is The Right Dosage Of Vigamox Eye Drops For Conjunctivitis?

Question: Hi Doctor.. Iam having Upper respiratory infections and Conjunctivitis for right eye since 3 days. Doctors have adviced me to take AZEE-500(1/day for 3 days), Vigamox eye drop and Refresh Liquigel. On the second day, even my left eye has been infected. The redness in right eye reduced in the morning in the second day and again increased during night and again reduced in the next morning. The Dosage given for Vigamox eye drop for both eyes is 4 times a day with 6 hours gap. Iam having burning sensation with left eye. My concern if this dosage is more than needed and will cause any kind of damage/issues in the eye in future, since in internet they show normal dosage is 3 times a day with 8 hours gap ?

Yes the usual dosage of Vigamox is 3 times a day but using it 4 times a day doesn't cause any damage to your eyes . So no need to worry .
I would advise you to take an additional anti allergic eye drops like Winolap along with Vigamox for a better relief .
Ask your treating doctor for a prescription of Winolap and start using it .

Hi doctor, I stopped having azithromycin on 6th sept, and now when u got up today morning Iam getting vomiting sensation badly.... Also I couldn't get sleep the whole night and got panic attack as to why Iam not able to get sleep... Could this be due to azee-500?

No It is not due to Azithromycin . Most likely you are having Acidity due to improper food intake or stress and because of that you are also having difficulty in sleep .
You can use Rabeprezole+ domperidone 2 times a day for 2 days before food . Avoid spicy food and non veg food . For your panic attack/ sleeplessness you can take Anxit tablet but you need to meet your doctor for the prescription .

I saw the pictures posted by you . It is congestion with minor soreness of the palate . It means that your throat infection is not completely cured .

I want to know is there any fever ? Cough ?

You can use Xylocaine Viscus 10 ml mixed in 10 ml water gargling over that sore and swallow , do it 3 times a day .

Hi Doc... I have headache, stomach burn in the morning and slight running nose. But the soreness has subsided a bit.

Your running nose might be due to allergy or sinusitis which can even explain the Headache also . I advise you do steam inhalation with Eucalyptus oil or Vicks vapourub 2 times every day for 3 days .

Also do salt water gargling 3 times a day, avoid Curds , buttermilk and Citrus fruits .
Your stomach burn is due to Gastritis / Hyperacidity most likely due to stress of illness or due to medications you took or less food intake . I advise you avoid non veg food , spicy food .

You can take Paracetamol for headache 2-3 times a day , Tab Rabeprezole 20mg before breakfast for 3 days .
