Brief Answer:
telista AM contains amlodipine beside telmisartan

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
Telista is a drug belonging to angiotensin receptor blockers group and contains telmisartan. It is used for control of high blood pressure, protection of kidneys in diabetes and also to prevent heart damage after heart attack.
Telista AM is combination of telmisartan and another blood pressure lowering drug called amlodipine. Amlodipine belongs to calcium channel blocker group of drugs.
The 2 drugs are often used in combination and is one of the preferred combination for high blood pressure patients. The combination has higher efficacy than Telista alone. It is more effective than telista alone for lowering blood pressure and preventing damage to end organs.
hope this helps. Feel free to discuss further.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Thank You sincerely doctor, and this certainly helps. However, it would have been little better if you had inserted one follow up sentence after your statement "Amlodipine belongs to calcium channel blocker group of drugs" to state what this (in quotes) is used for.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
I am sorry that i could not make it clearer. I wrote:-

Telista AM is combination of telmisartan and "another blood pressure lowering drug" called amlodipine. Amlodipine belongs to calcium channel blocker group of drugs.

So primarily Amlodipine is a drug which is used to lower blood pressure. It is also used relief of angina in certain subgroup of patients.
Please do write if there is any other query.
