Best way to quit alcohol is hospitalization.
It is possible to de-addict from alcohol on OPD basis but there is chance of taking alcohol at home and withdrawal symptoms may very in every patients so if hospitalized we can manage accordingly.

First of all motivation of patient is most important as if pt is well motivated than chances of de-addiction is high.

There are certain medication which is useful in alcohol like benzodiazepins for alcohol withdrawal symptoms, topiramate or acamprosate for craving, and thymine as a supplement.

According to patients condition and withdrawal symptoms we can decide treatment .
