Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I went through your query and understood your concerns.

Heart rate in a daily life varies with many factors. So what ever you have mentioned resting heart rate of 99 is a normal pulse rate. nothing to worry.

Trivial mitral regurgitation do seen in few people , which is quite a common finding in normal individuals. in some people could be from volume overload on heart could be from low Hb levels.
I would prefer you to get Hb test done and correction if found low.
But it's a normal finding, nothing to worry.

Yes, meditation or yoga or any stress reducing exercises do help to control palpitation and improves working capacity of heart. You can definitely start doing any of such exercise.

Hope I answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query.

Wish you a good health.

Thanks.

My Hb level is 13.9. Is the heart rate not related to the trivial MVG?

The higher heart rate makes me uncomfortable, and I keep feeling like I need to yawn, or like I am drowning. It also leads to a mild headache. These symptoms would last for days.

There have been times when my heart rate was only 80 and that was far more comfortable. I am not anaemic, so how do I lower my heart rate/breathing to more comfortable levels?

Brief Answer:
Meditation and regular exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.

Rise in heart rate is not related to mitral regurgitation . It's more related to anxiety or stress. So meditation do helps to control heart rate. Daily regular walking for minimum 30 min do helpful to improve cardiac function.

Hope I answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query.
