Question: My sister in law aged 32,currently under 5months of pregnancy had experienced pain in the uterus. Her urine culture report is attached & shows a presence of 'acinetobacter', which seems to be resistant to most antibiotics. Request your guidance on treatment & care under such condition.

Brief Answer:
Gentamycin

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
I have reviewed the report.
The bacteria is sensitive to gentamycin, which is the most feasible drug which can be given in pregnancy.
I will suggest her to consult an OBGYN specialist and get the treatment in form of gentamycin injections twice a day for 7 days.
She should also take plenty of fluids.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
