What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

Posted on Thu, 5 Jan 2017
Question: I've been suffering with various symptoms for three weeks now. Dizziness, headache, blurred vision, palpitations, nerve burning on face and chest, tingling on the bottom of my feet, sharp pain in head, chest pains, pain just under my ribs on the left side and pain just across from my stomach on the right side. I just got some bloodwork results back and my RBC is high 4.74, MPV is high 13, bilirubin is high 1.8, bilirubin direct is .03, and ALP is low 25. What could be the cause for this?

Brief Answer:
Besides low magnesium, copper and B1, only other significant finding in you

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to HCM, I've gone thorugh your query,

Besides low magnesium, copper and B1, only other significant finding in your test reports is a slightly raised bilirubin.

Please get all your abnormal levels corrected with proper supplements, since yes, they could be the cause.

In my experience however, sometimes severe acidity can lead to all this.

So till you meet your doctor---
Take Cap Omeprazole (Prilosec) 20 mg twice a day half an hour before meals and see if you feel better.

Feel free to get back in case of any further queries
Regards

I am also woken up at night by these things that feel like seizures. My body feels hot internally and my chest starts burning (the nerves, not heartburn) and my head starts to feel strange. I shake a little and they come in waves. Could the higher bilirubin be causing this?

Brief Answer:
No--a slightly raised Bilirubin is not leading to your symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, just went through all your reports.
No--a slightly raised Bilirubin is not leading to your symptoms.

Your B12 levels are above normal.

Above normal B-12 levels can cause tingling, numbness, nausea, abdominal pain and liver damage.
In this era of supplementation, one tends to go overboard, One must remember that too much of a good thing is not necessarily better.I am not saying all your symptoms are due to B-12 excess, but it could be along with B1 deficiency.
As already suggested by me--please take Take Cap Omeprazole (Prilosec) 20 mg twice a day half an hour before meals and see if you feel better--to take care of acidity.
Also make sure you are not given any supplement containing B-12.
Anxiety can also lead to symptoms like this.
I would be interested in a feedback after you meet your doctor.
Regards
