Brief Answer:
Your mother needs D, D & C

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

The reports suggest that there is problem with your mother's uterus. The uterine endometrium is thickened upto 27 mm. An endometrial thickness >5mm in post-menopausal woman should be investigated. We have to do diagnostic endometrial curettage. The pathological examination of the curetted endometrial material will answer this whether it is endometrial hyperplasia or cancer.

Good luck

Brief Answer:
Your mother is fit for surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your doctor has advised correctly. These tests suggest your mother is fit to undergo surgery. The MRI will suggest whether the disease [if cancer] is confined to endometrium or it has spread to myometrium.
Although your mother is not bleeding at present it is very essential that she should undergo the tests as advised by your doctor, other wise again bleeding will start with disease spreading further.
Good luck

Brief Answer:
Hysteroscopic D,D & C is better test

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yes the MRI is suggesting there is disease as suspected. Hysteroscopic endometrial curettage is doing D,D & C under direct vision by endoscopy [hysteroscopy].
This test is better as biopsy will be taken under direct vision.
Yes whether it is cancer or any other pathology biopsy will tell.
The treatment depends on the pathology report.
Good luck
