default
Posted on Thu, 25 Jun 2015
Question: I recently got my urine test done and it showed 2-3 RBC/HPF in it. I got the same done 4 times with the result being positive in two and negative in two.
Is it a matter of concern? What medicines are recommeded?
It was first diagonised around 3 days back when i went for an Immigration Medical test.
They detected it as +1 and called for a retest after three days.
Please suggest suitable remedies for the same.
The same happened with my mother who is 62 years old.
Thanks & Regards,

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have done your routine urine times for four times and reported to have 2-3 RBC and Pus cells .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you a have any urinary symptoms ?
2)Do you have your menstrual period before giving sample for tests ?

In absence of any urinary symptoms presence of 2-3 RBC and Pus cells are considered to be normal and has no significance at all.

You can take antibiotic like Norfloxacin and Nitrofurantoin twice daily for 5 days.

Ensure to drink more water .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
