What Does Spots On Labia Majora Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: Hello,
I have 2 small spots on my labia majora. One looks exactly like a tiny age spot, light brown spot on the skin. The other is further down and is darker, looks almost like a tiny vein spot. I rerecently had my 2nd child about 3 months ago. I wish i kknew if they were there before... but during my pregnancyand all follow up exams my doc never mentioned it. There has been no change in either spot. I'm ppraying it is normal pigmentation and the other a varicose vein?

They could be brown pigmentation spots that are congenital and not at all harmful.
Please upload photos so that I can be completely sure.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Brief Answer:
Pictures are unfortunately not clear

Detailed Answer:
I have gone through the images.
Unfortunately none of them is clear.
The spots do not show out obviously.
Please could you zoom out a bit, and avoid too much light on the photo, as the contrast is not seen.
I hope you could upload somewhat more clear pictures this time please ?
Awaiting your response.

Brief Answer:
Normal changes, do not worry.

Detailed Answer:
These seem to be more of small nodules, they often happen due to aggregation of hair follicles / sweat glands at a particular spot.
IF there is no pain / tenderness / foul discharge / redness, then do not worry.
Just keep a watch on them, if you find them enlarging, then you need to be concerned.
As of now, they are part of the normal spectrum of changes on the labia.
Take care.
