Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common causes for chronic diarrhea are: (1) infection- the stool sample that you sent to the lab, would determine if this is the case

(2)irritable bowel syndrome- the ROME criteria is used to help determine if this is present. You may want to have a look at this to see if any of the areas apply to you

(3)side effect of medication

(4)inflammatory bowel disease- crohns disease or ulcerative colitis can both cause diarrhea. For diagnosis , a scope would need to be done.

(5)thyroid disease- high levels of thyroid hormone can cause diarrhea, this level should be checked

(6)diabetes- persons with a history of diabetes which is not controlled can have problems with the nerves in the gut

(7)food intolerance or allergy- a food diary for one week noting foods used and ingredients would be helpful here

To find the cause for you: (1) the stool sample has been sent to check for infection

(2)bloods for thyroid, complete blood count. If you suspect food allergies then there are also bloods that can be done for this

(3)you may want to consider a scope, if one has not been done within the last 5 years to take a look at the colon

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
