What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?
Question: My wife recently had blood tests to help understand why she feels ichy most of the time. We thought it might be an alergic reaction.
The only abnormal results are:
Bilirubin <0.1 vs. 0.2 -1.0 normal
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody 73 vs. <35 normal
This seems to have something to do with a hypothyroid condition and not an alergic reaction.
Her Dr. has not returned her calls to explain the results and I would like to know what I can do to calm her down.

As we discussed earlier,findings suggests raised anti thyroid peroxidase antibodies and it may show inflammation in thyroid gland.
Your wife need full thyroid profile estimation and clinical correlation.
Thyroiditis(inflammation in thyroid) may cause hypothyroidism.
She may need to take thyroid supplementation after evaluation.
Bilirubin level is normal.This excludes hepatic cause of itching.
Other causes of itching should be investigated including allergic reasons.
