Question: NAME OF TEST : PAP Smear Method : Wet film & pap stain study What does this Descriptive Diagnosis mean : Superficial and intermediate squamous cells seen. Endocervical cells shows reactive changes. Inflammatory cells: +++ RBC : Nil Malignant/Dysplatic Cells : Nil Impression : Inflammatory Smear General Categorization : Negative for intraepithelial lesion or Malignancy OUR QUESTION OF CONCERN : What is the next step or line of treatment and how expensive will it be ? Your correct answer will be appreciated. Thank you

Inflammation may be due to many organisms like gonorrhea,chlamydia,papilloma virus,fungus etc.
This need clinical examination and further investigations.
It is important to know exact reason of inflammation because treatment varies with cause.
It is important to now about discharge etc.Sample of discharge may be taken for evaluating cause.
You may also need few blood test or urine test.

Once exact reason is identified,treatment can be started by your gynecologist.
