Question: My wife's Uterus is bulky, measures 174 x 100 x 95 mms. The MRI Report shows as follows:
There is a large globular well circumscribed SOL of heterogeneous appearance in posterior myometrium of uterine body.
The lesion appears isointense on T1.
On T2 the lesion appears predominantly hyperintense with areas of fluid
attenuation.

Patchy areas of T2 hypointensity seen in the lesion.
The lesion measures – 136 x 111 x 96 (CC x ML x AP)- s/o Large Posterior Myometrial Fibroid.
Is there any remedy to reduce the size and cure without surgery ?

Brief Answer:
Surgery is the only option

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I would like to know what symptoms she is having for which you have got the ultrasound done?
I have seen the attached reports and according to the size and location of the fibroid she needs surgery for relief.
There are many drugs available to shrink small fibroids and eventually they go away with the onset of menopause but she has a very big fibroid which will not be affected by drugs alone.
So go for surgery as per your gynecologist.
In case you have any questions about it, I will be glad to answer.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Surgery as soon as possible

Detailed Answer:
No dear, there are no signs of malignancy per se but her age is such that she has high chances in future.
Plus surgery is needed for sure then why to suffer in periods.
She can wait for a while but earlier the better.
All the best.
