What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Aug 2017
Question: My husband was in a motorcycle accident and lost consciousness. They did a CT which came back normal with no fractures. He has been having headaches come and go for a few days and I just felt a soft spot on the side of his head that is tender to the touch. Should I be worried and take him to the ER? He is not nauseous or dizzy or out of it at all.

Brief Answer:
Nothing serious

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Head injury which is trivial may not be associated with any fracture or internal bleeding.
Localized pain and swelling and soft feeling can be due to scalp hematoma which is superficial.
This will improve with time.
You can take pain killers with serratiopeptidase for few days.
Headache also responds well with medications like amitriptyline.
No urgent need for ER consultation.
May visit to a neurologist for headache if not improving.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further information.
