Brief Answer:
Please add fruits and vegetables to his diet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
The normal reference values in a child 5 to 8 years old are as follows

Hemoglobin 11.5–15.5 gm/ dl

PCV 34-40%

Total RBC count 3.90–5.30 million/ cu mm

WBC 5000–14500 cell/ cu mm

Platelets 1.50 – 4.50 lakhs/ cu mm

Eosinophils 0–3%

Basophils 0–1%

Lymphocytes 28–48%

Monocytes 3–6%

From the above, Lymphocytes are borderline and not a concern. I would like you to add more nutrients to his diet. The hemoglobin is in the lower limit of normal. So he needs to eat fruits and vegetables rich in minerals, iron and vitamins.

If his body weight is below normal and he falls ill frequently then a consultation with pediatrician is suggested. Deworming medicine might be given after consulting your doctor.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have doubts.
