Brief Answer:
Should be confirmed with a sonogram.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms. XXXXXXX

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

In the current scenario, I would recommend a repeat test of serum beta-hCG for serial titres after a trans-vaginal sonogram to identify the gestation sac and see the viability. Doubling titres every 2-3 days suggest good progress of the pregnancy. Detection of fetal viability and a corresponding gestational age suggest healthy fetus.

Though a beta-hCG value less than 5 does not suggest pregnancy, since the urine test became positive subsequently, it is better to err on the positive side.

If you have always had regular 28-30 day cycles, it is unlikely that you may have conceived late; it means that you could have ovulated later in the cycle and hence conceived late.

With a past history of miscarriages, it is ideal to be cautious early on to help plan further management. Please consult a specialist in high risk pregnancy to help monitor your condition and go through the regular protocol of investigations. Please continue with the prenatal vitamins. Take adequate rest, avoid stressful activity including intercourse and eat healthy.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
