Thanks for the query.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder in which skin exfoliates at a very high rate.
When this involves more than 90 % body area it is called as erythroderma.
Skin is very important for maintaining body temperature and to prevent water loss.
In erythroderma body looses water profusely which may lead to kidney failure hence it is life threatening.
We control such cases with oral methotrexate or steroids.
