Posted on Fri, 26 Jun 2015
Question: Hello doctor. I've been having low sex desire for about 2-3 years now. Did blood work. Test level is fine. Etc. erections has been weak. And nothing seems to turn me on and if I do it's very weak erection. I also haven't seen a morning wood in about 2-3 years as well. Question is would a pinch nerve in l4-l5 of the back cause this as well. If not what's the problem here. I did suffer from severe anxiety 3 years ago as well. Not so severe at this point.

Also went to ER last week. Been getting muscle spasm in the heart lately. They think it's pvc? Do I have an underlying heart issue all along?

Neurological disease
psychological or stress induced
Drug abuse

Your age and relevant medical history

Since how long you have this problem

No I don't smoke.. Consume liquor only on weekends more so every other week. I'm 26 years old. Will be 27 in July. Only history is I had anxiety in the past 2 years. Something is definitely wrong. No morning wood. Erection is soft. I don't know if there's a damaged vessel in the penis or something. Very stressful.

Brief Answer:
Please consider these guidelines

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for Your reply and I really appreciate your concern
At your age this could be stress induced or related to anxiety or psychological disturbances
In your case it might be related to nerve impingement at L4-L5 level.
Here I would like know about your sexual activities
Are you married
Do you feel nervousness during or before intercourse.

In my opinion you should consult a neurologist to rule out neurological cause for inability to get election and a psychiatrist for counselling and behavioural therapy if no organic cause can be established (than it might be related to stress and anxiety) which I am sure definitely help you

If you are sexually active than spend more time in foreplay and turn on some soothing music and make your place more conducive to the act.

Hope this answers your questions
Please feel free to ask for more clarification I will be happy to help you
Wish you good health

Any quick remedy for now? I heard watermelon/strawberry/lemon blended is a natural Viagra. Anything you would recommend eating to help for now?

Answered by Dr. Dr. BR Hudda (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
You can take Viagra under supervision of your doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply
First of all any organic cause has to be established and accordingly treatment can be started

In my opinion you should see a doctor/neurologist to rule out L4 and L5 nerve impingement leading to this problem

If its not there than comes anxiety elements which can be a managed with the help of a psychiatrist
If you don't get any improvements than Viagra is last remedy

You are right watermelon and strawberry blended in lemon is considered good. But there are no enough studies yet to prove this claim. You can try it though. But if you need immediate resolution, then I will suggest the use of Viagra( sildenafil) group of drugs under supervision of your doctor

Have multivitamin and minerals supplements , lots of fresh fruits and vegetables

Hope this answers your question
Best wishes

L4/l5 pinched in December 23rd 2014. Haven't seen morning wood in 2 years. Explain how does the morning wood process work? So I have an idea what area the problem may be. Also I'm seeing A doctor tomorrow for what they think based off by symptoms as pvc. Today I felt like a burning pain sensation from the heart.

Brief Answer:
burning pain in heart is a matter of concern

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I appreciate your concern

Burning sensation near the heart can be a matter of concern It can be related to heart disease or simply a Acid peptic disease
Here I would like to know,
1. whether you are having bloating or symptoms of acid reflux
2. Any history of shortness of breath or palpitations?

Early morning erection have complex physiology. It isn't easy to explain the physiology in layman's terms. All I will say is it depends upon number of factors like sleep and relax state of mind, urinary bladder pressure, metabolic / hormonal factors, obesity and drug abuse and so on.

I understand you were diagnosed in Dec 2104 for L4 and L5 impingement and the symptoms were present before the diagnosis. But nerve impingement may have been clinically (subtly present) before the diagnosis. Further it is possible that earlier erection issues getting aggravated by nerve impingement. It is important to look into the status of nerves while evaluating for erection.

There are various treatment modalities available for the erectile dysfunction so you need not to worry. At this point of time without physical examination and evaluation it will be difficult to ascertain the specific cause of lack / improper erection. Further discussion without this physical evaluation may not be of more value. Please consider the measures I suggested earlier.

If nothing comes conclusive after consulting your doctor, you can ask for testosterone or hormonal study and nutritional assessment studies.

Hope this answers your query

I think it maybe anxiety. My heart starts to beat faster. And I'll lose erection immediately as if I'm nervous? Anyway to relax that way I don't lose it to quickly.

Brief Answer:
Anxiolytics group of drugs are advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply
This could be due to anxiety only
If I were your treating doctor I would have prescribed you anxiolytics like Benzodiazepine group of drugs for a week or 10 days and would assessed the condition for improvement of the condition
If it did't improve than I would have referred you to a psychiatrist for behavioural therapy and counselling.

You should avoid anxiety by doing yoga and meditation
You can do Deep breathing and relaxation exercises when you feel nervous

Hope this answers your question
good luck

There's a product over the counter I brought at gas station that worked really well but not sure if it's hurting me. It's called golden night pill it last 3 days 350mg all herbal. Ingredient is Proprietary Blend 350mg

L-Arginine, Wild Yam Extract, Siberia Ginseng Extract, White Willow Extract, Jujube Extract, Green Tea Extract, Gouqi Extract and Tongkat Extract. Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate

My last question to you is I used the product it works wonderful but after 30mins I felt my eyeballs was heavy. Pressure behind my cheekbones. Was that a headache or partial stroke I know it's all herbal I'm just afraid I'm not going to cause a stroke by taking this.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. BR Hudda (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
This could be headache due to sinusitis or high IOP

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply
Golden night pill is a ayurvedic preparation of herbal composition
I can't comment much about its effectiveness

heaviness in eyes can be related to increased intra ocular pressure or refractory error, since I can't physically examine you so I would advise you to consult a EYE doctor for check up and to rule out increased IOP.
Pressure behind the cheekbone can be suggestive of sinusitis, you can discuss with your doctor when you visit him next time

So you need not to worry only this can't be the cause for stroke,

Hope this answers your question If you are satisfied with the conversation, please close the discussion
Best wishes
