What Does Alkaline Phosphatase 34 And T4 14.5 Indicate?
Question: My 14 yr old daughter had laproscopic surgery for endometriosis and had a hysteroscopy a couple weeks ago. She also has other problems. She is arg/gin factor v leiden & mthfr (specifically c677t for sure c/t) and apolipoprotein e (t471c, c609t) 3/4 high risk - she is on a daily aspirin a day - my question is... Knowing the gene mutations. (above are the only ones we have tested for) and the latest blood test we got back today: alkaline phosphatase 34 (low) T4 14.5 (a little high) lymphocytes 53 (high) & Urine test: appearance turbid occult blood 3+ A , red blood cells 10 - 15 A Chrystals 3 + amorphous, cortisol random 30 (high)
What do you think about the labs? Do you think the gene mutations play a role when reading her labwork?
She has had a low grade fever evey day for the past couple of weeks. For the past 3 days she had been experiencing bad headaches. She is very tired and when she wipes, she gets clotty blood on the toilet paper - none on underwear during day or night but almost always when she wipes after urinating.

FIRSTLY , MTHFR and factor V leiden gene mutation are tests performed to rule out INHERITED THROMBOPHILIAS. this simply means that she has a propensity to clot blood faster and can have thrombogenic episodes in future . To avoid that she has to be placed on antithrombogenic agents on a regular basis. Aspirin has to be given regularly and if required in some cases low molecular weight heparin and warfarin for prolonged treatment may be considered.
there are other tests like , ANTITHROMBIN III deficiency, PROTEIN C & S DEFICIENCY , GENE 20210 A mutation, LAC, ACLA, ANA , Serum homocysteine which can cause thrombophilias both inherited and acquired.
however the urine tests shows red blood cells and turbid appearance with possible CYSTITIS of urinary bladder and would require treatment with antibiotics . This is urinary tract infection , accompanied by fever and generalised body ache.
Thirdly , as far as clots are concerned, she is just 14 years and is bound to have anovulatory cycles for atleat 2-3 years and hormones being immature she may have such episodes . Also with background of thrombophilia, clotting is more common.
