Brief Answer:
Low calcium level may be due to many causes like vitamin D deficiency etc.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I have gone through your son's findings in detail.
Findings suggests mildly low calcium and AST level in blood.
Our main concern is low calcium level. It is only mildly low and this is manageable.
Low calcium level may be due to many causes like vitamin D deficiency, intake of caffeine, alcoholism, renal problem, drug intake, malignancy etc.
It may be due to simple reasons like vitamin D deficiency in your son's case.He may need vitamin D estimation.
Renal problem etc are unlikely as renal function tests are normal.

Besides vitamin D supplementation,I advise calcium rich food and tablet as supplement.
He can take one calcium tablet(1000 mg) daily.

Mildly low AST is not concerning.Infact elevated values of AST may require further estimation.

Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.
Further queries are most welcome.

Take Care
