Brief Answer:
YEs, chances are good.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Well, ovulation generally happens on day 14, that is, rupture of the egg.
Your egg size has reached optimum and proper level, and it will rupture soon.
Continue follicular study till ovulation is confirmed.
Remain sexually active daily for the next 4 - 5 days.
Chances of pregnancy are good, provided there is no problem with your husband's semen analysis or your tubes or such other factors.
Investigations and treatment for inability to conceive, are generally started when you try to conceive unsuccessfully for more than a year.
You are just 24, and I think all this treatment has been started prematurely.
You should have waited for another 6 months atleast before starting treatment.
ANyways, since you have started the treatment, chances of success are good.
If this cycle fails, you can go for semen analysis of your husband too.
Keep me posted on what happens next.
Take daily folic acid supplements.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
it is given to rupture the mature egg.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
See, the egg should rupture when it reaches a size of 20 - 22 mm.
WHen it does not rupture, injection of HCG is given to induce the egg to rupture.
So please take that injection, and then get repeat study done till egg rupture is confirmed.
ANd remain sexually active as advised.
Wish you lots of luck.

Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (14 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
No major problem should be there.

Detailed Answer:
If you maintain a healthy diet and activity level during pregnancy, there should be no problem.
As such, you have already started the treatment, so it is too late to reconsider it at this stage.
You can work on weight loss if you fail to conceive in this cycle, and then try again after a few months, when you are at a healthier BMI.
Take care.
