Question: hello Dr
around three months back had symptoms like chills, mild confusion, and backache (middle part).. went for urine examination both culture and urine but it was negative. did my USG it indicated kidney stones: right Kidney- 2.6mm Calculus in superior calix. left Kidney-3.1 mm calculus in middle calix. and thinkness of urinary bladder 6mm... possible cystitis
well till now I feel stones are still there but took meds like ofloxine 200 mg bd for seven days. symptoms improved but after a week again symptoms come back but this time less chills, backache (middle part) and frequent urination or less urination at times. I have repeated ofloxine 200 mg bd two times as of now ... symptoms go and come back once I leave medicines...
I have a request sir... please prescribe low doses of antibiotics as last time I had taken antibiotics five yr back and afterwards had urticaria and allergy
also suggest what I can do for stones
plz help

Brief Answer:
Chills , backache are in relation with infection, stone.guidelines given.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* Symptoms of chills and back ache are in relation with urinary infection and
underlying calculus .

* Mild confusion is separate issue , needs physician check up .

* As urine culture is negative , in our clinic we advise cap. doxycycline ( 100 )
mg ( after consulting your doctor , if there was no previous history of allergy
to this molecule ) morning & evening after meals for 5 days .

* Recommendations for stone

- Drink plenty of liquids including boiled water , lemon juice , coconut water ,
home made juices , butter milk , green tea , coffee .
- Certain molecules for stone dissolution work well over the time .
- Regular follow up with doctor with follow up ultrasound examinations .

Hope this will help you .
Wishing you fine recovery .
