Brief Answer:
Can be due to diet or hormonal changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The irregular pattern of bleeding that you are having this time can be due to change in the diet, stress or a mild hormonal disturbance. It can also be due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding. You can wait for next 2-3 days and see if the bleeding subsides on its own. In case the heavy bleeding persists then do consult your gynecologist for proper treatment to control the bleeding.
You can start taking iron supplements meanwhile to combat the blood loss.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
