Brief Answer:
Yes it can be vestibular neuritis but other possibilities can be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to vestibular neuritis for which you are taking medication and pleasant thing that as you have mentioned it has worked well to decrease your symptoms.
But for tingling of teeth, or speech issues however you may need to consult a neurologist. This can't be explained by vestibular neuritis alone. It can be due to drugs which are used for neuritis if symptoms presented after taking the drugs.

If it was there before, then detailed neurological assessment with brain imaging and blood screens for metabolic or endocrine abnormalities needs to be done.

As far now, you can wait for two to three weeks for effects of drugs if your symptoms are improving. Meanwhile you can discuss using supplements for B1, B12, D3 after discussing with your primary physician as they may also help to improve the symptoms. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

Hello. Thank you. No, I've had the tingling teeth all along and MRI of brain and cervical spine do not show any demyelinating lesions. Blood work all came back OK, blood pressure has been good all through process. Tingling teeth is a constant and very distracting when trying to work. Sounds silly, but almost like someone has attached electrodes to my teeth. It's not all the time, but is more often than not. Dr was considering giving me meclazine, but didn't want to start me on it if I was feeling better. Silly question - could stress be a significant contributor? In other words, could this all be in my head and become a physical manifestation?

Brief Answer:
Yes it can be generated through stress and may not have objective reason

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for the detailed feedback. Well seems like you have already been through alot and most of this extensive work up has turned out to be normal. You can however still opt for two options for betterment in this discomforting problem. One is that you can discuss using supplements for B1, B12, D3 and folic acid. Other is that you can visit a psychiatrist and share all your previous work up with him and discuss regarding the possibility of its relation to stress. In many cases it doesn't have any subjective or objective cause and it can be triggered by stress or underlying anxiety and become involuntary habbit to repeat certain act repeatedly without knowing that. It can be treated with anxiolytics and behavioural therapies. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards.
