Posted on Mon, 20 Jul 2015
Question: I HAVE HAD A TIGHTENING BETWEEN MY KNEES AND TOP OF LEGS FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 YR. WHEN I
GET UP IN THE MORNING THEY ARE OK FOR 2 TO 3 HRS. WHEN I WALK SHORT DISTANCES THEY CRAMP
UP AND I HAVE TO SIT, I HAVE HAD PHYSIO THERAPY, BLOOD TESTS URINE TEST AND DOPPLER ON MY
LEGS, NOTHING SHOWS UP. I WAS PRESCRIBED TYLENOL 3 BUT TWO OF THEM ONLY LAST ABOUT TWO
HOURS. SITTING OR LAYING DOWN STOPS THIS FOR A WHILE. ANY ADVICE?

Please consider these details

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply
Looking at your description this can be caused by muscle weakness, musculoskeletal disease, autoimmune disorder or poor blood circulation to the muscles.

Since I can't physically examine you to get more clues so I would advise you to consult a physician or neurologist for detailed clinical examination and investigations to rule out myopathy or other r autoimmune disease

Avoid smoking and drinking
you should take calcium and multivitamin supplements until you visit a doctor

Best wishes
