Thank-you for replying to my question. 1.I have not had any fever. 2.I had an upper respiratory infection about six weeks ago and occasionally still have a dry cough.3.I am taking Plavix and Lipitor and Zantac 300 mg daily. I have taken HCTH and Lisinopril in the last 6 months and had alot of weakness so L stopped them. I have no shortness of breath and no nasal congestion. I do have a lot of fatigue and want to sleep all the time. I also had my lower teeth removed in December and I have had trouble with soreness and skin breakdown on my lower gum. I also have had a lot of epigastric pain that feels like my back is going to break. I had one episode in December that was present over 5 days intermittently. Since then I have had only 2 episodes that lasted about 4 hours each. I kinda sound like a hypochrondriack?{cant spell it} Thankyou!

Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. We would first proceed with symptomatic treatment. If it does not improve then we can switch to antibiotic therapy. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- cetirizine one at night for 5 days.
- Take acetaminophen for pain.
- Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
- Take boiling water in a pot, put your head over the steam and cover whole with a sheet. Take deep breaths in it.(Avoid getting closer else it might cause burn). Do this twice a day.

AVOID:
> Chilled water
> Drinks(alcohol)
> Spicy food

Hopefully condition will improve with these measures BUT in case condition does not improves then we can go on amoxicilin/clavulanic acid (antibiotic therapy) for which you need to visit hospital as well.

Lastly, i would strongly recommend you NOT to worry. You will be fine soon. Stress/anxiety almost always aggravates the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health !!
