What Causes Swollen Red Testicles And Severe Sweating At Night?
Question: My husband is 70 and his testicles are red and swollen and he sweats heavily at night, in that area. What can he do?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Red swollen testis with heavy sweats at the age of 70 need further correlation and examination to rule out any sinister causes like testicular masses as seminomas or choriocarcinoma.
Apart from it other acute pathologies like torsions, varicocele, spermatocele , hernia etc can also be considered as differentials.
The sweating testicles can present in non malignant dermatological diseases of male genitalia as well like trichomycosis, folliculitis, balanitis etc.
The only way to know for sure is getting the testis examined, get a scrotal ultrasound done followed by a complete baseline work up to rule out the cause. There would be no harm to get evaluated for STDs as it can happen in any age group.
Meanwhile loose undergarments preferably made of cotton, keeping the area hair free would keep he sweating limited or reduce its effects.
