What Causes Swelling Over Both Ankles In Condition Like Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Question: Sir
I am 64 years old RA patient since 2003. Now OA also developed in both knees and not able to walk properly. Now I am taking Ursocol SR 450, HCQS, Folvit, Lefno 10, selcal and Godjo (Glucosamine). Also taking 1 tab Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12 once in three days. I have no sugar and pressure. My doctor suggested PRP Therapy for both the knees for which I have to go to XXXXXXX for one month. Apart from other symptoms I have swelling since last 8 months in both the ankles. However it is more in left ankle. The swelling is reduced after sleeping and in the morning both the ankles appear normal. However with the day gradually swelling developed. For this one Doctor prescribed Tide 10, second Doctor prescribed Lasilacton, 3rd doctor prescribed lasix. But there is no action. I shall be grateful if any doctor give me some clue about swelling so that I can treat in that line.

I have read your query,

Due to long term rheumatoid arthritis there can be cardiac involvement.
Due to weak cardiac function there can be swelling over both ankles.

Another possibility of ankle arthritis leading to swelling.
X ray will rule out arthritis.

You can do cardiac function along with renal function test consulting your doctor.
Medicine can be started considering test results.
Diet has important role in rheumatoid arthritis, avoid inflammatory diet.

I have recived your reply and gone through it minutely. I am doing pranayam regularly viz anulom bilom and kapal bhati - 10 minutes each. Physically I am not filling any trouble in heart and my recent ECG was in order. My creatinine level is also with in limit.

I am attaching herewith image of my leg and also latest blood test report. Kindly go through the same and advise me specialist to be visited

Resubmitting photo and reports. Kindly do the needful. I am also taking one tablet PREDMET 4 mg on alternate day. So far I know Protien Rich PLasma (PRP) therapy is done at XXXXXXX by Dr. O.P. Garg. I have seen your reports and clinical photo,

I suspect ankle arthritis [rheumatoid variety] leading to swelling.

Another thing that there can be issue of vascularity to ankle and foot leading to swelling and skin alteration.
Colour Doppler leg or foot perfusion scan will help to diagnose vascular abnormality.

I will advise you to consult dr o p garg only for PRP.
And consult with him about continuing predmet medicine, I am sure that he will also guide to stop predmet.
